My son works at the local liquor store so he texts me when they have a special. I just picked up two cases of Honker’s for $9.99 each. I’d never tried it before but it is pretty good. Not my favorite style but tasty. A little malty with a slight fruitiness/floral on the nose. Taste was malty first, then the fruitiness/floral note then a little bitterness on the back end. Something about the taste (type of yeast?) just made me think British. At this price, I kind of wish they had more (I got the last two cases). :cheers:
I loved it when they made it in Chicago. Haven’t had it since they sold out to some larger concern.
I think they described it as an English Bitter. Great beer, used to be my stand-by.
