We may get to it, but the study Scott cites is much more rigorous than anything we or Marshall can do.

Easier than that even. Hereās how to do it:
- get a gallon jug for a 1L starter. You want a 1:4 ration of liquid:vessel
- boil your starter wort in a pot and chill
- pour starter in jug and put lid on
- shake the wort until itās completely foam
- add yeast and cover with FOIL (donāt put the lid back on!)
Do this under regular sanitization of course. Also, make the starter about 12 hours before brewing. You have some leeway here so donāt get panicked if itās 18 hours or only 10 hours. The idea is to pitch as close to high krausen as you can.
