I’m getting a lot of propane smell while using my new burner. any thoughts? seems like there should be no gas odor.
My thought would be DON’T use it until you figure out where the gas is leaking out! You should not smell any raw propane

Yeah, there should be NO propane smell if the burner is lit. Very dangerous if you have a leak somewhere. There’s a different kind of smell that burned propane has, but it doesn’t resemble raw propane at all.
Check all of your fittings by spraying soapy water on them. Also there should be an air mixture door that turns from closed all the way to open that you can adjust to get a nice blue flame.
If you are buying propane from a dealer/supply instead of an exchange, they might help out. Just bring your set up and have them check it out.

Take it apart check all the hose conections use new teflon tape. And see if your propane tank does not leak. Around the neck of the tank. Be carefull.
