Freezing Apples

Today I cored and sliced about 40lbs of Jonagolds. I added 2 cups sugar and the juice of four lemons to prevent browning, then sealed in Foodsaver bags and

froze. I don’t have time to press right now, but the apples needed to be dealt with.

Has anyone used previously frozen apples for cider? I’ve used frozen berries in beer, but not as the starring role.

Froze apples myself, made it easier to press. They will be brown after you take them out to thaw but makes excellent juice. My juice had a OG 1.062 and was very clear.
