First wine batch

Yes, it is true, but it will also alter the flavor some. It also adds sweetness, but not really sugary sweetness. It’s pretty rare that I would add glycerine to a wine, and I’ve never added it to a grape wine. But you could buy a small bottle and add a drop or two to a glass of wine and see if you like it.

I just wrote the manufacturer of the kit wine I received. Turns out I have CO2 suspended in my wine giving it the flat feel on the mouth. I took a bottle and degassed it and the mouth feel now has more feel to it. It is a medium bodied wine so that may change with time. Guess I did not degas enough before I bottled.

Young wines can take some time to degas, especially if your not using a mix-stir or wine whip. Temp of the wine and weather systems can also play a part.
I agree with previous posters that age will be your friend.
