First batch

Batch 1:

Used Wyeast smack pack, 3 gallons of cider, 3 cups sugar and 3 teaspoons yeast nutrients.

Took 36 hours for the airlock to burp once per 2 seconds and the bubbles are almost unnoticeable.

Batch 2:

Used Safeale-s04, 1 gallon of cider, 1 cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon yeast nutrients.

Took 4 hours for the airlock to burp once per 2 seconds and the bubbles now 12 hours in are more noticeable but minuscule.

In the youtube videos I’ve watched it has always been these huge rolling bubbles.

Am I on the right track?

Thx

The slower and smaller the bubbles, the better IMHO.

Thanks Dave.

Well…4 days in and I popped the top on one of the batches last night to give it the sniff test and BOY does it smell tasty. An even aroma of cider and alcohol.

Getting excided but staying patient.
