Firestone Walker Wookey Jack

Absolutely awesome! Best tasting IPA that I have had in a while. Dry hopped with Amarillo and Citra and it just awesome.

I love that beer too. Picky about my “black IPAs”… Firestone comes through on this one. Nice balance of dark roasty malt and hops.

I’ve yet to have a beer of theirs I didn’t like

Had a bomber of this on saturday. Very good. Now for a clone recipe…

Unfortunately we only get Union Jack (best IPA on the market, IMO), Double Jack and their porter here. I’d love to try some more of their beers. Probably the number one brewery I’d like to visit. Citra and Amarillo is a frackin awesome combo. Did a C/A/Galaxy pale with all Vienna malt awhile back - best beer I’ve brewed.

I have a clone over at HBT. It is spot on.

I just found your clone a few days ago, looks awesome.
I have an important question that I would like to ask, I’m sending you a PM.

Thanks for posting your clone recipe in our forum. I’ll ask the mod’s if they can move it over to Beer Recipe Exchange.

Finally got to try this stuff: excellent. Smooth as silk, with just a hint of rye and roasty flavors. It’s a lot like Union Jack, with just enough extra oomph. These guys know what the bleep they’re doing. I’d say it’s my favorite commercial brewery if they had more variety on the shelf - as it is, I’d have to go with Stone.

Hard to go wrong with those hops. Too bad I only have several lbs of each I need to use up.

Tragic, i feel your pain. I too have a supply of citra, amarillo, and simcoe.

At the 2012 great american beer festival, out of 62 entries, Wooky Jack took FIRST place.

This is in the American style black ale category( black IPA, CDA or hoppy dark).

Call it what you want I call it YUMMY!
