Final gravity question

I am making an Irish Red and I just put it from the fermentor into my keg and have been pressurizing it for 3 days now to carbonate.
I forgot to take a final gravity reading. Is it Ok to just take draw some from the keg and into a sanitized test tube/hydrometer now? or is it too late? Thank you very much!!

You could but you would have to make it flat first and adjust for the temp.

How would I make the beer flat again??

haha. Just leave out in a glass. and wait.

I wouldnt plan on putting it back into your beer but I would either let it sit out over night in a glass or I would put it in a rinsed out pop bottle and shake it up till its flat then dump it back into something so that you can take your hydro reading. You might have to wait a few for the air bubbles to go away. I think my Irish Red finished at 1.010
