Fermenting question :
I always put my fermentor in my basement and try to keep it far from any windows and wrap in black garbage bag. Sometimes this falls off from our cats.
If it gets exposed to artificial light every once in a while, is that a big deal? Or is it just outdoor light that will be bad for the beer? Thanks!!
I highly doubt this will cause any issues with your beer. You can also wrap it in a old towel, blanket, etc. and put a clothes pin around the top. Your cats are probably playing with this because of the material and the noise it makes. Silly cats!
If it’s incandescent light, no problem. If it’s fluorescent, it might be, but if the exposure is brief and not too direct, you’ll be fine.
