I brewed my first big beer. Brew day went perfect. The first 2 days if fermentation however, not so perfect. Blew my airlock and temps rose way too high. I don’t have access to a chest freezer, but I do have an old fridge. Will that work with a thermostat? Will a brew bucket fit?
If you pair it with a temp controller such as a johnson control unit you can control the temps. BTW, there are cheaper controllers, this is merely the one i have. I can’t talk to your fridge but i could fit one in mine. I did have to remove all the shelves and build a platform in it though as the bottom of my fridge had a hump.

Start with a blow off hose and don’t worry about this issue.
