Fermentation?

Hello All! I am a newbie at brewing and to the forum. I brewed my first batch of brew this week and it has started to worry me a little. I brewed it 3 days ago and it seems like fermentation has already stopped. The first night and next day it was bubbling like crazy and was obviously active, but today, the foam head has fallen back into the beer and there is only a bubble every minute or so coming through the airlock. Is this normal?

I doubt you need to worry. Some yeast strains will finish within a few days. Others take a little longer. What yeast strain? What was your fermentation temp?

I am using Wyeast 1272. I have a hydrometer and took reading right after cooling the wort (1.032) then today at 1.012. I’m not sure if I am reading it right though.
The temperature has been right around 68 F.
I was wondering if it was possible I didn’t agitate it enough before pitching the yeast.
