Fermentation / Conditioning temperature

I was planning on fermenting and conditioning in my basement, but the temperature down there this time of year is hovering around 60 - 62. Too cool? Doing the American Wheat Beer.

That should be perfect temps for the first 3-4 days of fermentation but you will probably want to find someway to ramp up the temperature slowly over the following week to the high 60’s range to get better attenuation. Otherwise your beer may finish with a higher gravity than expected.
