Dusting off the funk I found in my trunk

And by trunk, I mean refrigerator.

I found a Mason jar of lambic blend hiding in the back. It came from a batch of Dawson’s Kriek that was brewed in October, and according to the label I harvested the yeast on December 8, so it’s getting pretty old at this point, at least by my standards.

Is it worth trying to bring it back? And if so, would it need any care beyond stepping up with a few starters?

If you want to use it as a primary fermenter, a starter would be a good idea, though.
