I noticed that a few days after pitching my yeast that some of the yeast stuck to the neck portion of the fermentor (on the inside) and now I am seeing whitish spots around where they are stuck. Is this a bad sign or is some of the yeast just breaking down due to moisture inside the fermentor? Thanks!
I hate when that happens…I think you’re probably fine. No need to worry.
I always rehyrdate nowadays, so much easier to pitch into the wort.
relax Don’t worry have a home brew. there are more than enough yeast in a dry packet to ferment your beer even if some are lost.
Im sure it will be fine, I was just worried that it was mold or something of that nature starting to form around it.
