Dry Yeast any good

Hey everyone, so I had a dry yeast pack in the fridge, then Sandy came rolling in and I lost my power for a week. Fridge got up to 70 degrees or so, is the dry yeast still good, or should I toss it? Thanks.

Hank

It’s fine - you can store dry yeast at room temp for a very long time.

Good stuff, thank you.

If you want you can proof it before you pitch it just to make sure, but I bet it is fine. Also if you are unsure of the viability then you can make a starter. That will give you a known number of viable cells in suspension.
