Doh! Forgot the Irish Moss

I brewed an AG Pilsner this last weekend, it’s in the beer fridge chugging along nicely at 52 degrees. I just realized I forgot the Irish Moss. I’m assuming I’ll be alright, because when it’s done in primary I’ll transfer it to secondary for lagering and will add gelatin at that time.

Is there anything else I can do?

there is one other thing you can do to help your beer: relax. I’m sure the gelatin will clear it up.

+1. The gelatin may not be necessary, but if it gives you peace of mind, go for it.

I used Irish Moss for the first 6 months or so of brewing then stopped. I have not been able to tell any difference since not using it. Lagering your beer will help clear it up better than anything Irish Moss could do.

Yeah, I was considering that. Thanks for the piece of mind.

Every time I’m at my LHBS the lady who runs it asks me if I have irish moss. I usually say yeah to avoid debate, but in my head I’m thinking does any one use that any more? I used it like two batches haven’t in a long time and can’t see a difference.

Well, I’m 'bout to find out for my own self. I do appreciate the feedback.
