Has anyone brewed this (extract) kit? I used Denny’s favorite 50 yeast and I’m at 4 weeks in the secondary with an SpG of 1.024.
Too high?
Seems high to me, even for an extract brew - I would want it down in the mid-teens at the most. Once you’re off the yeast cake, it’s difficult to lower the FG, though, so you’re likely stuck with a slightly sweet version of the recipe.

I’ve used 1450 4 times in all grain brews (1 was Denny’s Wry Smile) and every time it ended up above 1.020. Still, it was some good stuff though I will hop it up a bit next time.
