I’m planning on doing an IPA next month and was thinking about making one gallon of it a dark IPA by cold steeping some caraffa and adding it to the bottling bucket once I’ve bottled the rest of the batch. Would this work?
Sure thing, I would boil it for a bit after steeping and before adding but that should work.

Sinmar would also provide you color without any roastiness from grains.

That was my first thought, but I couldn’t find it on my LHBS website and don’t really want to pay a bunch to ship just the one item from somewhere else, there being no more flat rate shipping. I probably should call to make sure.
