Crossover Beer

I am playing around with a recipe that will be a unique crossover beer for the BMC crowd and having fun with some malts that I haven’t tried. Here is what I have so far. I appreciate the advice and thoughts of the board.

Grains:

5# American 2-row
3# German Pils
2# Vienna
.6 # Special Roast

Hops:

1z Cluster 60 min
.75 Cascade 10 min
.75 Amarillo 10 min

Mash 154 60 min

1056

How’s this going to work out for me?

I think the special roast will stand out, and not in a good way. This malt has a toasted pumpkin seed type flavor I am not a fan of unless it is buried with other malts.

+1 - if you leave that out, you have the looks of a nice blonde ale or lower end APA

what a great description - I could never quite put my finger on it, but that sounds exactly right!

Hey, toasted pumpkin seeds! Perfect for Halloween. Seriously? I’ve never used special roast so I don’t know but I have to admit that I like making roasted pumpkin seeds. Cheers.

Ive been away from the board, but I appreciate the responses thanks.
