Couple More Questions :)

So I got my first couple batches started. Went with 1 gal, until I get a recipe and process down.

Did a traditional, and a melomel. Put fruit in the primary, which some folks don’t recommend.
Using a scheduled feeding.
I’ve been shaking them daily to oxygenate them, but now I’m wondering if I should be letting them start to settle out.

I had thought to continue on until for a week or two until they were only bubbling a few times per minute, then racking to secondary to begin settling out, then probably to tertiary…

Suggestions?

I’d let it settle a bit in primary (a week or so) before transferring. The more times you transfer, the more opportunity there is for oxidation and infection. Thumbs up on the degassing and staggered nutrient addition though.
