I just run hot water through mine after each brew session. That seems to work fine. Never saw any buildup.
I rinsed mine after use also but obviously that wasn’t good enough. Oh well. New setup worked out really well on Friday. Lid didn’t close as tightly as I felt it should on the 36qt xtreme.
little late to the point, but I use the same cooler Beersk, and as for the braided cord interfering, the combo of shorter length and the drop recessed drain sluice on the Xtreme help keep it out of the way. Cheers et al.
Good point. I may consider shortening the braid in the future. But so long as I focus on stir carefully and being mindful of the braid, it shouldn’t be a problem.
