Hello all. I am about to try and cold crash a pumpkin ale. It was in primary for two weeks and as of today it will be a week and a half in the secondary. I would like to bottle this weekend. How long and at what temperature should I crash at? And yes I have a chest freezer and temperatures are accurate.
Colder is better, especially with the short time-frame - 32F would be good.
How long is a recommended cold crash?
Min 24-36 hours, 48 to 72 hours if you have the time. You could certainly go longer as well
You cold crash in order to clear your beer up before bottling/kegging right?
