Would cold conditioning @ 30-31*F freeze and shatter my carboy? Dont know the ABV but def over 5%
You’re fine, I keep all my beers at 30 before kegging/bottling. I’m sure there’s a formula for ABV vs freezing temp but no need to worry.
Beer won’t freeze @ 32F because of the alcohol content. A typical brew freezes @ ~28F.
Right on…In blam it says moortgat conditions duvel @ 27F for 3 weeks…I dont have the marbles to condition that low in glass so i quess 30-32F is the closest i will get…Thank you
