Coffee wheat beer?

Has anyone tried to make such a thing using real coffee? I have a friend who is a Starbucks fanatic and a Boulevard wheat drinker that I want to make this for. Thanks in advance!

Ps I also posted in receipe exchange forum

Coffee is usually added to darker beers such as porter and stout because the strong coffee flavor is balanced by the darker roasted malts. But as a homebrewer, there’s nothing stopping you to experiment!

You could try adding cold espresso to a hefe (preferably a Weihenstephaner!) to see what it tastes like before you brew 5 gallons of a potential dumper!

And ruin that good beer

I’ve made a coffee stout that has had good results. I usually dry hop 6 oz of Starbucks Espresso beans in the secondary, coarsely ground in a muslin bag.
