Can beer fermenting set off a co2 detector. I pitched a batch in my kitchen yesterday afternoon and about 2 am the detecter went off, Has this happened to anybody before?
Are you sure you don’t mean a CO detector? Carbon Monoxide (CO) detectors are somewhat common for homes, but I haven’t heard of a Carbon Dioxide (CO2) detector before.
yeah CO detecter, been a long night trying to figure this out.
Were you brewing indoors using gas? I can’t see how just fermenting would set it off. Might be dangerous. I set ours off a long time ago using a 35,000 BTU burner in the basement. Found out extra ventilation was needed.
