Cleaning plastic fermenting bucket question

Just bottled my first batch yesterday and as I was cleaning my equipment I notice that my plastic fermentation bucket has retained a “beer” aroma to it. It appears spotless.

a: does this mean it was not cleaned properly (and needs a long PBW soak)?
b: or is normal?

Thanks, as always…

That is normal and you can leave it open for a while so that it can fade. A long hot water and PBW soak will help but not necessary.

totally normal. Plastic retains odors unlike glass. As long as it is clean, you should be fine.

+1 Completely normal.

+1 Completely normal.[/quote]+2. Don’t worry about it, it won’t affect any future brews. Just make sure it’s clean.
PBW works great for cleaning.
