well of course their testing is going to be good.
I never had an issue with the accuracy although never fretted about it’s accuracy so I have no idea how accurate mine were when using them, having them last longer than a month was my major issue with them. They would either stop working or show really wacked out temperatures

As the site explains, there are a couple of guidelines to keeping them in good condition. I posted the site to show what temperature variation would be normal based on ambient temp. As stated in the first sentence, my testing showed they were accurate.

The chocolate and caramel fountains at Golden Corral have been put to shame by this one!
Now you need some baskets of pretzels and chips to dip in the fountain!

Thats what came to my mind when I read the title. Making a stout fountain like they do for champagne would be cool, not sure how the carbonation would hold up.
