Chillus Convolutus Fittings

I’m trying to integrate a new chiller into my brew rig and have run into a situation. I want to put fittings on the wort connections of the new chiller so I can put quick disconnects on, but can’t seem to figure the size out. I’ve looked at standard 1/2 inch copper fittings that you would solder on and they are larger than the tubing. The gap is much larger than a normal soldered connection. So I looked at swaged/compression fittings thinking that would work and they are too small. Has anyone else run into this and what have you done?

I personally have not seen the chiller, but what you want to do is measure the inside diameter of the pipes coming out of the chiller. That tells you what size fittings to get. Then just go to a hardware store and tell them what you want to do and they will hook you up.

This doesn’t answer your question, but i put short sections of 1/2" silicone tubing on the copper and put the disconnects on the other end of the tubing.
