Has anyone tried this kit out? Didn’t see any reviews on it and am wanting to make it my next batch. Any info on what to expect would be appreciated.
Have not, but it sounds awesome. I’ve yet to brew a beer with a post boil hop addition (not including dry hopping), but have been thinking about it. Just looked at the kits recipe and formulated my own. It’s on the brew docket!
I would say go for it! That flameout addition is gonna give huuuuge aroma, especially if you steep (as instructed) and periodically whirlpool for at least 30 minutes before chilling.
Dobe12 that DIPA I sent your way a while back is a prime example of this, only 3 ounces in boil with around 4-5 ounces whirlpooled for 70 minutes. (of course followed by a dry hop…couldn’t hold back!!!)
