I am two weeks into my new home brewing hobby and I have a couple questions. What should the FG be on the caribou slobber extract kit? Also, my LHBS sells Brewers Best extract kits, are these any good? NB has more selection but I could save on shipping costs by using my local store.

Depending on your hydrometer. Mine was reading high until I double checked it at the proper temp with distilled water.
Thanks, it was 1.018 last week and I checked today when I was racking it to secondary and it hasn’t changed. I wasn’t sure if that was high.
That is about right.
I bottled after 3 weeks after holding right at 1.018.
Smelled and tasted great. My first batch as well.
