Has anybody attempted making a stir plate that will work for a carboy? I have read somewhere that the carboy is too thick/curved up on the bottom so it doesn’t work. I do big batches and make starters in a 5 gallon carboy. I’d like to make a stir plate if it will work.
Good find, but I don’t think I could bring myself to pay $175 for a fan and a couple magnets. I wonder if one of these on a 120mm fan would work.
