Can I bottle right from my carboy instead of using a bottling bucket to bottle
Yes, but you want to rack to a clean carboy. Otherwise you will be putting the trub in your bottles.
I guess you could suspend your racking cane above the trub, I haven’t tried.
When I keg, I go straight from the primary. Some trub gets pulled in but the suction basically clears a spot.
With bottling, when you move the tube around, it will stir up more trub.
Plus you have to stir in some sugar
