Carbing Issue

I bottled the Cream Ale about 3 weeks ago, pulledo one bottle aside and let it chill in the fridge for a few days. When I poured it, it barely has carbonation… very little head and although doesn’t taste flat, defintely doesn’t have a crisp carb mouth feel.

Any ideas whats wrong? Should I let it condition a little longer or go ahead and chill for a couple weeks to see if the carbonation builds?

Thanks!!!

What temp have they been at?

Keep them as warm as possible. Tip and shake the bottles each day. Give them another week. Then put 1 in the fridge for 2 days and try it.

Carbonation will be slow if you put them in the fridge now.

You could try another bottle. Possible this one didn’t get much priming sugar.

They have been kept around 68… about the highest I can get since the wife likes the thermostat set at 68 during the winter. I will give the bottles a little tip and see how it goes, maybe try putting them in the utility room near the water heater and furnace to see if I can get them a bit warmer. Thanks for the info.

Yep, I would follow Nighthawks advice and try to get them warmer. If you can get them into the 72-75 range it would be ideal.
