Carbing Black IPA

Would you carb a Black IPA to the same CO2 as you would another IPA?

http://www.northernbrewer.com/priming-sugar-calculator/ suggests 2.4 CO2/v.

I’ve got my first India Black Ale (much better name, IMO) on my list - I’m probably going to pitch half the cake from my current stout into it. I’ll probably use .85 oz/gallon, whatever that comes to - that’s my standard pale/IPA carb level, as opposed to the stout, which I’ll hit with ~.7-.75 oz/gall. I don’t think of it in terms of volumes because it just isn’t intuitive, and IMO, it’s a fairly contrived measure of carbonation. Might be too fizzy, but that’s what I’m going with. Whatever Firestone Walker does with their Wookey Jack would be hard to argue with - awesome beer. What is your recipe?

Using NB’s India Black Ale  kit.

I’d go with that. The hops are what pops in this beer. The roasty, chocolatey flavors take a back seat and the body is very IPAish, not stout.
