My fermentation is working so well I really don’t think I have enough headspace in my 5 gal carboy. Would it hurt to pour this into my 6.5 bucket. This is really starting to push stuff up I didn’t expect as I am a new brewer and learning as I go along.
I would not trans. Use a blowoff tube. If you splash or add oxygen after fermentation you are going to get oxidation. When you do rack try to limit splashing as much a possible.

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully I don’t lose this batch, but if I do I will chalk it up as experience move on it will be valuable to me as I move forward.
Let it spit out what it doesn’t like for the first week. After that there won’t be much krausen if any – it just fizzes for several weeks with no head on it.
