Can I add (sterilized) top up water at 2nd ferment?

Hi, I have some experimental 1 gallon batches to transfer to 2nd ferment/condition. For whatever reason i didn’t top up these gallons fully before pitching. Would it be OK to add some sterilized, cooled water when I transfer to secondary?

It’s not critical either way, it’s just…more beer is better than less beer…

Yep, you can do that if you want to. Boil it to deoxygenate and sanitize it.
