This will be my first brown and I have just started formulating my own recipes. I feel good about the grains, but the hops will go:
Perle 1oz @60
Willamette .5oz @15
Saaz .5 oz @ 5
all grain 5 gallon batch.
how does this look?
I generally don’t do late additions on my browns unless its an American brown and then I’ll use a little citrusy hops late. I tend to try and make the malt the focus of a brown. Your hopping schedule looks fine though, restrained and I’d guess the Willamette and Saaz would play nice together.
