Bridgeport Imperial Porter

50% Aged in bourbon barrels 50% Aged in oak. 7.5 abv. I expected a lot more flavor from this one, but still enjoyed it. Slightly sweet, none too strong on either of the barrel aging flavors (could’ve used a little more to be honest). Mellow aroma. Strangely darker head than most porters. Most that I’ve had have a sheer white head so that was neat. Dunno, nice beer, but not the kind of beer I was expecting to sit and enjoy with all of the hype on the label (i.e. bourbon aged! oak aged! IMPERIAL!). Ended up putting it back pretty quick.

I’ll have to keep my eyes open for that one when i get back to Oregon. I didn’t know bridgeport made special beers like that
