I was fortunate enough to get a 2 1/2 gallon yeast cake from my local brewery. How much should I pitch? It was harvested about two weeks ago, kept cold and looks like pudding. Feed it first? Just pitch? My brewer friend suggested a 1 quart pitch for five gallons.
