Did a quick Brickwarmer extract brew yesterday. Been eager to brew cause my electric brewery is being re-wired and its too cold to brew outdoors. Yesterday I was the only one home so the stove was all mine!
Anyways, the brew went well. Krausen ended up going through my airlock so I had to set up a blow off tube. Im using the Catalyst fermenter which my girl got me for xmas. Thing is pretty cool and its bubbling like crazy…
How do you like the catalyst? Is this your first brew in it?
It is my first time using it so I cant give a quality review but so far it has been very easy to use. Im looking forward to harvesting the yeast and not having to rack to secondary. Being able to just remove the trub should greatly simplify the process as well as just opening a valve to keg it.
