Brew a Bopils using Pale Ale malt?

I just picked up a 55lb sack of Weyerman Pale malt and I’m throwing around the idea of brewing a Bohemian Pils style with it or possibly just a German pils. Understanding it wouldn’t be technically to style but I wanted some feedback from those that have either brewed a beer like this or used the Weyerman pale malt, or both.

Their site says it works great for Lagers.

In the case of the Bopils it would be Saaz hopped and in the case of the German Pils, Hallertau and Hallertau Mittelfrau. Both beers I’d use Saflager W34/70.

I’m definitely leaning more toward brewing the Bopils than the German pils.

Thanks!

It’d probably be in between a bopils and Vienna lager, and closer to the latter. Sounds like a nice beer, whether its to style or not.

Interesting thought…3.0L with a bit more toasty biscuity but not quite to Vienna malt level so that makes sense.
Thanks!
