Break material

Made a German pils last night. Used a hochkurz decoction mash with a 100% continental pils grain bill. I ended up with a lot of break material- easily twice what I end up with brewing English and American ales (single infusion). Is this normal- a function of using continental pils or decoction mashing?

More just curiosity than anything else although it did throw off my water calculations and I had to add a little to get back to five gallons (which was ok because the decoction raised my efficiency quite a bit and I was a little too high on the gravity for the style).

Seems like I always get more break using pils malt.
