Has anyone tried Boulevard’s “Reverb” imperial pilsner yet? This is supposed to be a rebrew of Collaboration No.1, which I really liked.
Last night I tasted a bottle from batch 2012-1. The first thing that I noticed in Reverb was what I recognized as a creamed corn flavor which I found off-putting. I’ve never tasted DMS before that I remember, but this seems like what it would taste like. I do not drink a lot of pilsners.
I remember Collaboration No 1 tasting cleaner and being drier.
