I usually rinse with hot water after drinking and hang them on the bottle tree until dry at which point they go into the cases.right before bottling I use the Vinator bottle rinse with a squirting of Starsan and right back on the bottle tree waiting to get filled. That bottle rinser was one of my best additions and cut out a lot of used Starsan and work.

My wife used to make her own dishwasher detergent. 
Our bottles were always cleaned before we put them away. Maybe a knife-blade of PBW and an overnight soak.
They would come out of storage for a run through the dishwasher the night before, no rinse agent.
Dunk them in star san before bottling.
Sit them on the bottle tree until filled.
She filled; I capped.
I remember Miller brau looked like his were sitting un a tub with ice cold star san, he’d pull one out, dump the sanitizer and fill right then and there. So if you were concerned I think that way you’d be almost 100% certain of clean! Sneezles61
