Bottling day question

i just moved my 6 gal. carboy from the closet to the kitchen counter. will i be alright to bottle tonight or should i wait a day or two. i am thinking that it might be good to let it settle before bottling. carrying 5 gals. and keeping it perfectly still is impossible at least for me. any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Should settle in 30-60 minutes unless it’s a really powdery yeast or you sloshed it around.

yes it wasn’t the smoothest move so how long should i wait.

it’s not like i have to do it tonight.

You should wait 3 minutes and 24.7 seconds.

Only you can answer this question. How much sediment was disturbed and has it settled down again, to your liking?

Do you have your bottles sanitized? That might take 30-60 minutes to do. Bottle then. Or wait for the weekend. Nothing will be hurt buy bottling now, or waiting.

2 real pieces of advice. 1) stir the bottling bucket after every 12pk filled. Keeps the sugar mixed in. 2) Fill one soda bottle. Squeeze the O2 out and screw the cap on. CO2 will inflate the bottle as it is produced. No wondering what is happening inside the glass bottles.

wait a day or two. should be fine - i like to wait at least 5-7 days personally.
