Bottle Conditioning Temp

Yesterday was my first bottle day. Directions say to condition the bottles at room temp. Is my basement okay? It’s currently 58-60 degrees down there.


As long as it’s within the temp range of your yeast, you should be fine. However, the lower the temp, the longer it will take to eat the remaining sugars. May need as long as 3-4 weeks to carb at that temp.

If it’s any peace of mind…I bottle condition in my basement at about the same temp, it takes an extra week, but it’ll get there.
