I am new at this, but got the Deluxe Started kit. Brewed first batch. Blow off comes with a red cap. do I remove this cap? Don’t Laugh!! :lol:
By “blow off” I assume you’re talking about the fermentation lock? The red cap stays on.

It really doesn’t matter that much. I used to replace the cap after filling it, but I eventually got lazy and started leaving the cap off.
Your kit should have come with a blowoff hose. I highly recommend using that instead of the airlock during primary fermentation. After the krausen has fallen, you can leave the blowoff hose on or replace it with an airlock.
