After a few years of extract brewing, I’m going to step up to trying BIAB. But I want to stay with packaged kits to start. I’m not trilled with the BIAB 3-gallon selections available with NB. Am I correct in believing I can simply use NB’s 5-gallon all-grain kits with this method?
Yup, just split 'em in half to get two 2.5-gallon kits. Though BiaB tends to be a bit lower efficiency, so you might end up with a somewhat lower gravity beer than what the kit’s supposed to make.
That said, if you like the style then you should definitely check out the Jake’s CDA kit. It’s fantastic.
