Can I reuse the cork or do I need a new one? The bottle of beer I bought did not have real cork but a synthetic material.
Corks are cheap…buy new ones. I’ve re-used cages before but wouldn’t trust a used cork.

You could probably sanitize and reuse a synthetic Belgian cork. Who’s using a synthetic cork though? I haven’t run across any, just agglomerated natural corks.
I bought a bottle of Westmalle tripel this winter that has a synthetic cork. Was thinking about trying to re-use it too. Haven’t opened it yet though.
i have seen those corks, I would not try using them again they seem a little porous
