some pots are tall and skinny some are short and wide.
I have a 50ft immersions chiller and on a mega pot it doesnt work very well because it sits out of the wort a little bit, still works fine just doesnt fit right.
If you hae the common smaller immersion chiller should be an issue
Grainbelt is exactly right on that…at 5 gallons it barely will even cover the thermometer. But for me at least for now it’s not an issue. I had planned to build a 2 tier brew stand and install a plate chiller anyway…but for now during the really cold weather I’m not too woried.
any of the standard 25ft ones will fit and work in any pot, just have to stir a little which you should do anyways. My 50ft just sticks out of wort on a mega pot a little (3" or 4") bit after I squish it down as much as possible.
Blichman/polar ware or the taller skinnier pots it gets completly submerged
